Just like last year, Adrien Rabiot and Everton has been a regular thing for the past few months and is likely to be a regular rumour throughout the summer.
As we know by this point, Carlo Ancelotti is a big fan of the Italian after handing him his debut at Paris Saint Germain, and that’s sparked rumours, pretty much since he joined Everton, that he wants him on Merseyside.
If that is to happen, then this summer appears to be the one to get it done, with several reports in the last few weeks making it clear that Juventus want to sell and get Rabiot’s wages off the books.
TuttoJuve pick up on that today and state that it seems ‘very likely’ that Juve will put Rabiot on the market this summer.
One of these are Barcelona, who are willing to propose a ‘new exchange’ in the same way that they did with Arthur and Miralem Pjanic last summer.
They are not the only ones, with Everton also there, having been established as ‘a fan of Rabiot for a long time’ and both Manchester United and Tottenham teams that ‘could clearly be interested’ in a move.
Indeed, it’s claimed that Rabiot could also get a pay rise from a move to England, which would be impressive given he earns around €7m as it is.
So what will Juve demand to let him go? Not that much, according to TuttoJuve. It’s believed they could ask for €15m, maybe €20m max, as either figure would see them make a profit, and a sale would also save them about €14m in wages from the remaining two years of his deal.
In short, Juventus have decided to sell, but there is one caveat, they will wait until the European Championships, where the ‘great continental competition’ could be a ‘perfect flywheel’ to push his price up.
A sale is very much on the cards, though, so if you’re an Everton fan, prepare yourself for a lot of Rabiot rumours in the coming weeks and months.
