It looks like AC Milan are slowly changing their mind on how good their deal with Chelsea is to sign Tiemoué Bakayoko last summer.

Italian newspaper Tuttosport brings a story about the midfielder today, claiming that although he doesn’t score many goals, he’s been pretty much untouchable in the team.

They say that when Milan signed Bakayoko from Chelsea on a loan deal, it sounded like the buying option of €40m was too much for such a player.

That’s why in the first months of the season, the local media used to say that the Rossoneri would have to negotiate a fee with Chelsea in case of a permanent transfer.

However, now Tuttosport claims that Chelsea ‘knew the player’ they were loaning to Milan, and that’s why he ended up showing he was worth all that.

Now with Bakayoko’s recent form, Milan would be ready to pay the clause in June, partly because for being a pre-agreed deal, it would have no impact on the Financial Fair Play rules, according to the newspaper.
