Italian giants Juventus are ready to scoop up Charlie Patino should he be released by Arsenal this summer.

That’s according to Calciomercato.it and Tutto Juve, who say the Serie A side have been following him for months and could move if he becomes available on a free.

Reports in England yesterday claimed that Arsenal are ready to let Patino go on a free this summer, having decided that despite rating him highly, his future would be best spent somewhere else.

That’s quickly been picked up on in Italy and CM.it report that Juventus, mostly via director of football Cristiano Giuntoli, are ready to move.

They want to lower their wage bill and secure bargain signings so are watching the free transfer window carefully and Patino is one of those they have their eye on.

He’s been picked up on by talent scout Michele Fratini and the outlet say he ‘would prefer to move to Juve’ if given the choice between them and others. There is also interest from Inter Milan and AC Milan.

Tutto Juve back this up, reporting that Juventus, who have already followed the midfielder live on several occasions including during Swansea’s clash with Morecombe on January 6th, are always ‘very attentive’ to young players such as him.

That means Patino is a name to ‘pay attention to’ in the summer, particularly if he does leave Arsenal on a free transfer as that could make him more attractive to the Italian club, who intend to be careful with their finances.
