According to TRT Spor, Besiktas are interested in signing Brentford attacker Ollie Watkins and that they are ready to move in on the player in this transfer window.
TRT Spor’s Besiktas journalist Tuna Akdemir claims the Turkish club are looking to loan the Brentford player and they will make a formal offer for him in the coming days.
Akdemir say Brentford are also looking to put in a mandatory redemption clause if they agree to let him join Besiktas and talks between the two clubs are set to continue in the near future.
Besiktas manager Abdullah Avci is said to be a big fan of the 23 year old and he’s reportedly been following him for three years reports Akdemir.
This summer the Super Lig side have been looking to bring in a forward and they’ve also been linked with Everton’s Cenk Tosun, who previously played for them before his move to Merseyside.
The former Exeter City player played 45 games for Brentford in all competitions last season, scoring 12 goals and providing nine assists.
He is under contract at Griffin Park until June 2021.
