Turkish newspaper Fanatik report Galatasaray are ready to make an offer for Aston Villa’s Trezeguet, as they look towards next season.

The Egyptian winger has been heavily linked with a return to the Turkish Super Lig, where he excelled with Kasimpasa, and Fanatik claim Gala are ready to make a two-year loan offer if Aston Villa are relegated from the Premier League.

Earlier this week there reports the Turkish side were going up against local rivals Fenerbahce in the race for the player.

It’s reported talks for the 25 year old have started, although Galatasaray will wait on Villa’s fate before making an offer for the player.

The Midlands club face the prospect of dropping back down to the Championship and subsequently the Super Lig side would look to take advantage.

Trezeguet has been a regular part of Dean Smith’s side since joining the club last summer from Kasimpasa for €10m.

His contract with Aston Villa will expire at the end of June 2023.
