Milliyet report, via Sporx, that Galatasaray will soon make a move for Mario Lemina, who’s currently on loan from Southampton.
It’s reported the 26 year old has become a ‘key player’ for Gala as the season has gone on, and the Turkish club would like to extend his stay in Istanbul.
The Turkish newspaper claims Galatasaray will look to loan the player again for next season as they can’t afford his €16m redemption clause. They are currently experiencing financial difficulties, which hasn’t been helped by the Covid-19 outbreak.
He’s previously stated that he’s very happy at Galatasaray and would like to continue his career in the Turkish Super Lig.
Lemina has made 17 appearances for Galatasaray in the Turkish Super Lig this season and despite him not scoring or getting any assists, Milliyet report their manager Fatih Terim feels he’s the ‘orchestrator’ of his team.
His contract with Southampton will expire at the end of June 2022.
