Turkish newspaper Sabah report Besiktas have a plan with regards to loaning Arsenal midfielder Mohamed Elneny for another season.
The Egyptian joined the Black Eagles on a loan deal from Arsenal at the start of the season and was one of their key players before the Turkish Super Lig stopped due to the Coronavirus outbreak.
Sabah claim Besiktas will knock on Arsenal’s door again to loan the player for next season and they’ve also suggested its unlikely manager Mikel Arteta will keep Elneny in his squad for the next campaign.
Given the current situation in European football, Sabah report Arsenal will struggle to sell Elneny permanently and they may have to accept Besiktas’ loan offer for the 27 year old.
Besiktas manager Sergen Yalcin is said to be very pleased with the player and therefore would like to see the former Basel midfielder in his team for the 2020/21 season.
Elneny’s contract with Arsenal will expire at the end of June 2022. Therefore, they may require an extension before agreeing to another loan.
