It looks like River Plate aren’t really concerned about Everton’s alleged interest in their midfielder Santiago Sosa.
In a story brought by TyC this Tuesday, it’s claimed the Buenos Aires side would actually be interested in selling the 20-year-old in the summer.
The outlet brought the recent claims which say the Toffees could pay US$14m to sign Sosa, but make sure to say that no formal offers have been made so far.
They claim that River Plate’s board sees the sale ‘with good eyes’, since they need money and have several other players for this position.
TyC writes that Sosa has a contract with River until 2021, and is currently protected by a release clause of €15m, which is not far from what Everton would be willing to pay.
Since the player is part of Argentina’s U20 team which will be playing the World Cup this year, perhaps that would help Sosa to get a work permit from the Football Association.
