While nothing is official yet, everyone knows that Paul Pogba is leaving Manchester United at the end of his contract.
The Frenchman hasn’t renewed at Old Trafford, and not even the arrival of Erik ten Hag as manager appears to have changed his mind, as he looks elsewhere to continue his career.
While Paris Saint-Germain appeared to be in the lead at one point, it’s his former club Juventus who are at the front of the queue these days, at least according to Gazzetta dello Sport.
The newspaper explain the situation to their readers, stating the Manchester United midfielder is exactly the kind of player the Serie A side need on and off the pitch.
However, the big question is whether they would be getting the same player that left them in 2016, and Juventus will meet with Rafaela Pimenta ‘in the next few days before the end of the week to talk about Moise Kean, Matthijs De Ligt and above all Pogba’.
It’s made clear that ‘the general agreement for the re-transfer of the Octopus is already there’, and all that’s left are ‘some economic details that remain to be defined on a contract worth €7.5-8m plus bonuses’.
While the initial belief was that a three-year deal was on offer, ‘there might be a surprise’ as ‘there is a hypothesis on the table of a four-year, which would leave Pogba at Juve until 2026’.
It appears this is heading in the right direction, and with Leonardo recently leaving Paris Saint-Germain, this might be the only option on the table for the Manchester United man these days.
