Southampton forward Nathan Redmond has finalised a deal to join Beşiktaş and is expected to arrive in Istanbul today.
That’s according to Fotospor, who say the Turkish side have ‘reached a happy end’ in their negotiations for the Southampton man.
They explain that Beşiktaş have sent out Ajdin Hasic and Emirhan Delibaş on loan to Göztepe, thus freeing up space for Redmond to arrive from Southampton.
They have ‘reached an agreement’ with the 28-year-old to make the move and he is expected to arrive in Istanbul at 15:30 today.
The nature of the deal isn’t mentioned but reports in England have stated that Southampton were set to pocket £4m from the move, so we’ll assume it is a permanent transfer at this point.
Those details will likely come out at some point today, with things clearly developing quickly and a deal close to being completed.
For now, Fanatik just report that Redmond is expected to fly today to finalise the move and join the likes of Dele Alli and Cenk Tosun in swapping England for Beşiktaş this summer.
