Fanatik report Besiktas have reached an agreement with Southampton for the Premier League’s side’s winger Mohamed Elyounoussi.

The 25 year old has been strongly linked with a move to the Turkish club and Fanatik claim Besiktas have convinced Southampton to loan the player for a fee believed to be around €500K.

According to the Turkish newspaper, the former Basel player will be expected to arrive in Istanbul in the coming week to complete his move to Besiktas, and the club’s manager Abdullah Avci is keen to use him straightaway.

Elyounoussi joined Southampton from Basel for €18m last summer, but the Norway international has failed to prove himself in the Premier League.

With the arrival of Ralph Hassenhüttl he struggled to get regular first-team football and has yet to make a start for the Saints this season.

He still has four years left on his current Southampton contract but it seems likely he will spend this season elsewhere.
