On Monday morning, the Peruvian media broke the news saying Manchester City made a ‘formal invite’ Kluiverth Aguilar to complete his move to Europe this week.
Following an agreement with Allianza Lima for his transfer, the Premier League side reportedly wanted him training with partner club Lommel in Belgium for a few months.
Well, RPP are back with an update today, and it’s good news for the South American side, since Aguilar will be able to stay there for longer.
They claim that Allianza Lima managed to reach an agreement with Manchester City for the player to stay for the first part of the Peruvian League. That means he’s guaranteed to be there at least until June.
Manchester City spent €2.5m on the signing of Kluiverth Aguilar. The teenager is only turning 18 in May, so he wouldn’t be able to represent any European club until then.
Now since the Premier League club wanted him at Lommel for a few months, perhaps that’s where he’ll go first instead of moving straight to Pep Guardiola’s side.
