Earlier today we covered reports from the Belgian media that Leeds United’s Laurens de Bock is ‘conducting concrete negotiations’ with Aris Thessaloniki.

According to a claim in the Greek media, Aris are close to signing the Leeds United defender and are ready to announce his arrival if they progress in the Europa League.

The Greek side will this week face AEL at home after a goalless draw in the first leg, and are hoping to progress to the next round of the competition.

It’s reported the transfer depends on Thursday’s result, and if Aris qualify they will have more funds to bring in the Leeds United full back.

SDNA claim both clubs have reached an agreement with regards to a loan deal for the Belgian player and his future will become clearer in the coming days.

De Bock joined Leeds United from Club Brugge in 2018 but he’s failed to prove himself during his time in England. It seems he’s not in the plans of manager Marcelo Bielsa and will again have to go out on loan for another season.

The 26 year old spent the last campaign with Belgian side KW Oostende and he’s under contract at Elland Road until June 2022.
