With Angel Di Maria officially leaving Paris Saint Germain this summer, he’s been pointed out as one of the players who Barcelona could sign with no, or relatively little, cost.

Catalan outlet Mundo Deportivo today reports that the Argentine was indeed offered to the Camp Nou side, who are actually looking for a player in his position.

The story, however, claims the ‘first option’ for that role continues to be Leeds United star Raphinha.

It’s said Barcelona even considered the opportunity of signing Di Maria, but that pursuit will stay paused. Both due to Di Maria’s age and because of their priority to sign the Brazilian from Elland Road.

With Leeds United staying in the Premier League, it’s claimed that Raphinha is now becoming a more expensive target for Barcelona, who shall work with their former player Deco, who represents the attacker, for a solution.

And even though the Catalan side can’t spend much, their interest in the Whites’ star is so strong that this chase is set to continue, momentarily ruling out Di Maria.
