As the battle between Chelsea and Paris Saint Germain for the signing of Corinthians midfielder Gabriel Moscardo continues, we now get to see some fresh news.

Gazeta Esportiva claims that the French club are about to match the bid the Blues previously made for the player.

It was back in August that Chelsea reportedly offered €25m for Moscardo, and that was turned down by Corinthians.

Now it’s said that after a visit from PSG director Luis Campos to watch the player in action, PSG are signalling they’ll make a similar bid for the youngster.

Corinthians are said to be proud to have turned down Chelsea’s bid, believing the player will soon be worth a lot more, with their new president claiming he’d like to make at least €40m with the sale.

That means PSG’s offer is expected to be turned down as well, and if the Blues have any hope of finding a deal for Moscardo, they better come up with more money in the coming months, also with good arguments to convince him to move to London.
