The president of Udinese believes Napoli will make a decision on the future of forward Duvan Zapata in the summer. Udinese are looking to make his move permanent, but face competition from other clubs, including West Bromwich Albion.

Speaking to TMW, Franco Soldati, said Zapata is happy at the club, and they are keen to sign him from Napoli after his loan period ends. Solati revealed Udinese owner Gino Pozzo will assess the situation with Zapata, but they face competition from a number of clubs from abroad.

“Much will depend on Naples. We are very pleased that he is happy here, he’s somebody we very much want to sign. Going back to the main question: Gino Pozzo will make his assessments, but in addition to getting a deal done with Napoli there are several foreign clubs interested, ” said Soldati.

West Brom are showing an interest in Zapata, and may look to move in on the 25-year-old in the summer. West Brom manager Tony Pulis will likely look to bolster his attack during the next window, and the South American is an option.

West Brom have also been linked with his current Udinese teammate Jakub Jankto, along with Stoke City.
