With Amiens now relegated back down to Ligue 2, the club now need to sort out the situation surrounding one of their best players, Serhou Guirassy.

The striker, who was already linked with a move to the Premier League in January, has attracted a lot of attention, and the French side’s president, Bernard Joannin, has named Crystal Palace and West Ham as two clubs pushing for the 24-year-old’s signature.

Despite revealing to have received offers ranging between €12-20m for his star forward, the board member refused to predict where Guirassy would end up.

He told But! Football Club“I cannot tell you currently, you’ll have to ask Serhou on what he wants to do. You can also add Crystal Palace and West Ham to the French interests. At the moment, the most interesting offers come from England, but we don’t want to stand in the way of his career. Up to Serhou’s agents to see what the best option is for him”.

The website explain a decision is to be expected in the coming days, and it appears it will solely come down to the striker’s wish.

Signed from 1. FC Köln last summer after an initial loan deal, Guirassy was one of the shining lights in a relatively disappointing season for Amiens, scoring nine goals and picking up one assist in 23 league games.

Enough, it seems, to impress David Moyes and Roy Hodgson and their respective West Ham and Crystal Palace scouts.
