Girona have ‘practically tied up’ up a deal for Tottenham’s Bryan Gil, although the figures of the operation are yet to be revealed.
Sport cover the situation today, explaining that Girona are close to wrapping up a deal for the winger, who is not a part of Ange Postecoglou’s plans.
The newspaper explains it’s been a ‘very turbulent’ week at the Spanish club, with the assumed departure of striker Artem Dovbyk set to precede the arrival of several new signings.
One of those is set to be Gil, who has been left out of Tottenham’s pre-season squad travelling to Japan and South Korea, a sign that they are keen to move him on this summer.
Girona value him highly as they think he can be obtained for a ‘not too high figure’ and have been discussing various formulas to get their man. A loan with an option to buy has been presented as the most viable idea but isn’t the only one.
The Tottenham outcast, though, is now the ‘priority’ signing for the Spanish side as they want to reinforce their left wing and think he can be gotten on the cheap.
It seems there’s lots of confidence a deal can be done, although actual solid figures aren’t being talked about at this point. We’re sure those details will be revealed sooner rather than later, as there’s confidence in Spain it’s happening.
