On January 20th, we relayed news from France that OGC Nice are interested in bringing Fulham’s Jean Michaël Seri back to the club.
Later that day, Foot Mercato reported Bordeaux have ‘taken information’ about the 29-year-old and are willing to take him on loan with an option to buy.
The interest in the midfielder from the two French clubs is also discussed by Le10 Sport.
The website ‘confirms’ Nice are keen on the Cottagers man, but they have so far not made an offer to the player or the Premier League club.
In addition to this, neither Nice nor Bordeaux hold an advantage to sign the Ivory Coast international, who has been made available in the market by Scott Parker’s side.
That’s because of FC Porto, who have positioned themselves for Seri for several weeks are currently in ‘pole position’ to acquire his services.
Porto manager Sérgio Conceição spent six months at Nantes before taking the same position with the Portuguese side. During his time in France, Conceição watched Seri and now he wants the Fulham player to join his side in the winter market.
Le10 doesn’t mention whether Seri and Fulham are interested in doing business with Porto.
