Besiktas captain Oguzhan Ozyakup continues to dominate the headlines in Turkey, after being linked with Arsenal and Everton in recent weeks

Milliyet say Besiktas are looking to play ‘mind games’ with Arsenal, over the 30% sell on clause the Premier League side hold on their former player.

If Arsenal say ‘no’ to cancelling the clause then the Turkish champions will look to sell Ozyakup in January. The 24 year old creative midfielder has reportedly been drawing attention from Premier League sides, and yesterday he was linked with a move to Everton.

Yesterday we covered reports from Turkey that Everton were keen on Ozyakup, and that the Merseyside club could look to commence formal talks with Besiktas.

The Turkey international will be a free agent next summer when his contract expires with Besiktas, but Everton could still make a move for the player in January.

With these latest developments this could open the door for Everton to bring in the former Arsenal midfielder. However, the Toffees may need to wait and see the nature of these ‘mind games’ Besiktas seem to be dreaming up.
