Barcelona have presented a bid for the signing of Leeds United star Raphinha, according to claims from Brazil.
UOL claims that the Catalan side have ‘accelerated’ talks for the transfer and have now made an offer worth €55m, with a further €10m in performance bonuses.
The story claims that Leeds are still to make their ‘step’ in the negotiations, as they need to see whether they’ll stay in the Premier League or be relegated to the Championship.
It’s said by UOL, however, that Raphinha wants the move, and there’s even a verbal agreement for him to sign a five-year deal with Barcelona.
So it should be all up to the Whites’ response to the bid.
Last week, the Catalan media had many stories claiming Barcelona were feeling more confident of Raphinha’s arrival since Leeds United had been struggling to get the results that would end their risk of relegation.
Now with the Elland Road side facing such pressure in the Premier League, it’s clear the Camp Nou side are only taking advantage of their delicate situation by placing a bid in the final week of the season.
