With the English media once again claiming that West Ham United are planning to sign Aissa Mandi from Real Betis, of course there’s some reaction coming from the Spanish press today.

El Desmarque brings a story about it. They say even though the player didn’t have a big preseason, since he’s featured in the Africa Cup of Nations, he was still able to be important to the team since the start of the season.

That’s why it’s no surprise for them that other clubs may be interested, especially because there have been eyes on him for a while now.

El Desmarque says that West Ham had already made a bid of €15m to sign Mandi in the summer, but the offer was turned down by Betis.

Now reacting to this recent report, El Desmarque claims that the Spanish side have a ‘pending’ meeting with the player so they can offer him a contract extension.

But the outlet warns the club saying the La Liga side can’t take long, since he should get some offers to leave them very soon.
