AFC Bournemouth’s Hamed Traorè joined Napoli on a loan deal with an option to buy in the winter market.
Last month, we covered claims from Italy that Napoli chairman Aurelio De Laurentiis will shell out money to buy him. On March 4th, Corriere dello Sport stated the €25m buying option is a lot for the Serie A side and that they want the Cherries to offer a discount.
Area Napoli state the Bournemouth owned player has nine games left to fully convince the Italian club.
The Ivory Coast international has scored a goal from 13 appearances for the Naples club and his future beyond this season still needs to be clarified.
Piotr Zieliński is set to leave Napoli as a free agent in the summer and if the latter were to exercise the €25m purchase option for the Bournemouth man, he could take the Pole’s place in the squad next season.
As of now, there’s a risk of making a mistake, and that’s very high. Although the Serie A side have ‘excellent financial health’, the report states they cannot simply ‘throw away’ money on the 24-year-old, especially if he doesn’t impress in the coming weeks.
Therefore, Area Napoli state club owner Aurelio De Laurentiis has a ‘very difficult choice’ to make on whether or not to buy Traorè from Bournemouth.
