Sdna.Gr claim Olympiacos have again turned their attention to Liverpool attacker Lazar Markovic, and that they are in talks with the Premier League side over a potential transfer deal.

Markovic is currently with Liverpool’s squad on their preseason tour of the United States, but the player is unlikely to be with the Merseyside club after the transfer deadline.

According to Sdna.Gr, the Greek club are still keen on signing the player as they look to strengthen their squad ahead of next season. Markovic was linked with a move to Olympiacos earlier this summer.

The Greek website says there are no details on what kind of deal Olympiacos are looking for, but given Markovic only has a year left on his contract it’s likely Liverpool will be looking to sell him on a permanent deal.

The Serbia international has struggled to get games for Liverpool since arriving from Benfica in 2014, and subsequently he’s been loaned out to Fenerbahce, Sporting Lisbon, Hull City and Anderlecht in recent seasons.
