Crystal Palace loanee Alexander Sörloth has made a dream start to his Trabzonspor career following his struggles with the London club.
The 23 year old managed to score an injury-time equaliser in the top of the table clash against Basaksehir at the weekend and he’s getting all sorts of praise from the Turkish media.
Sabah say the Crystal Palace forward has made the best start ever for a foreign striker at Trabzonspor and his six goals in nine games are equal to club legend Shota, and that was 24 years ago.
Sörloth has been involved in nine goals for Trabzonspor and is currently the Super Lig’s top scorer along with former Newcastle striker Papiss Cisse and Malatyaspor’s Adis Jahovic.
Subsequently Sabah report Trabzonspor have already started working on signing the player permanently and they will hold talks with Crystal Palace with regards to the Norwegian.
It’s reported Trabzonspor want to negotiate a lower fee than €6m, an amount which will be activated at the end of the next campaign if he plays more than 25 matches during the 2020/21 season.
