Sporx have reported the Besiktas are showing interest in Manchester City midfielder Fernando.
The Turkish champions are looking to add players in their squad this summer, and their manager Senol Gunes believes Fernando could challenge Atiba Hutchinson for a starting place in his team next season.
It’s been claimed Besiktas are looking to make a loan offer for Fernando, and Manchester City could allow him to leave if they manage to sign Fabinho from AS Monaco.
The Turkish website also say Besiktas officials will fly to England for further talks over a loan deal for the 28 year old, despite the Turkish media believing that, if Fernando is to leave, Manchester City would prefer a permanent deal.
Signed from Porto for €15m, Fernando isn’t one of Pep Guardiola’s most important cogs at the moment, but the manager may not be too keen on an exit. Manchester City have been linked with Fabinho, but not too strongly, and if Besiktas are depending on that for a deal, then City fans will probably hope they get their way.
