The Madrid media continue to talk about Tottenham’s 3-1 victory over Real Madrid at Wembley, and whilst that mainly revolves around the crisis the Spanish club are said to be in, there’s of course still room for praising Spurs.
Mauricio Pochettino’s men have really impressed the Spanish media over the two legs, but it’s Dele Alli who has left the biggest impression, report Marca.
With warnings ahead of the match to be careful with Alli, Madrid weren’t set to underestimate the Tottenham star, but were still left shellshocked by his impact.
Alli’s two goals did for Madrid, and he could have got a hat-trick for Tottenham such was his performance and that of the team generally.
Real Madrid officials, including president Florentino Perez have been ‘left open mouthed’ at the player, and that of course leads to transfer consideration.
Whilst Harry Kane rumours hadn’t really taken off in Spain, it’s suggested his teammate has now surpassed him in etching himself on the minds of the club.
Still, there’s not a huge transfer fanfare, and there’s probably a good reason for that. This is Tottenham, which means any deal needs to be negotiated with Daniel Levy, and it’s perhaps in Spain that the Spurs’ chief sees his reputation most fearsome.
Whilst the idea of signing Alli is nice, right now the Madrid media won’t go too far with it, knowing that after the initial thought… it’s Daniel Levy time.
