Besiktas have officially announced they’re in the process of transferring Fabricio Ramirez, better known as Fabri, to Fulham.
The Turkish club have to release such details due to their financial listing status and it’s been announced on Monday afternoon.
On July 12th we brought claims from Turkey that the Premier League club were closing in on a deal for the goalkeeper. It was claimed Fulham had made an initial offer of €3.5m but that Besiktas were holding out for €8m.
Fulham were then said to have upped their offer to €4.5m and in turn Besiktas were then prepared to compromise and accept a €6m fee.
The English club’s interest has been motivated by goalkeeping coach Jose Sambade who had previously held a similar role with the Istanbul club. Having worked with Fabri, Sambade was able to explain his qualities, and the coach’s presence is also an attraction for the footballer.
This one looks like it should be done soon.
