Club official travels to ‘continue negotiations’ for Southampton player – Saints ‘discussing different formulas’

Trabzonspor recently sent a club official to Croatia to ‘continue negotiations’ as they push for a deal for Southampton’s Mislav Oršić.

That’s according to 61 Saat, who say the Turkish club are yet to finalise their move for the Southampton man but are pushing to get it over the line.

They explain that Trabzonspor have been chasing Oršić ‘for a long time’ and have already submitted a bid to Southampton to sign him on loan.

That offer is being evaluated by the Saints, who have made it clear that they would prefer to sell their January signing outright if they can.

The forward was signed in the winter window in a big spend that month but barely featured under Nathan Jones and Ruben Selles in the last few months and both parties are now keen to part ways.

Thus, they are ‘discussing different formulas’ with Trabzonspor, who also sent an official to Croatia to try and work out negotiations and shape the potential deal.

Whether they were successful isn’t mentioned and it seems there’s plenty of work to be done if this deal is to happen, despite the fact everyone involved seems keen on it going through.
