It’s been confirmed Manchester City will have further talks with Basaksehir with regards to signing Cengiz Under.
The young attacker has been linked with a move to Manchester City in recent days, but they could face competition from AS Roma.
Hurriyet have reported on comments made by Basaksehir official Mustafa Saral: “We are in talks with Manchester City with regards to Cengiz Under. City officials will come for Under for a second time.”
Last week we reported Manchester City travelled to Turkey to hold talks with Basaksehir. It was claimed in the Turkish media the Premier League side tabled a bid in the region of €9m, but Basaksehir are holding out for €15m.
Despite their first offer being rejected it seems, at least according to the Turkish club, Manchester City haven’t given up on signing the 19 year old.
However, the English side will have to act quickly to get a deal done after Under’s agent confirmed interest from Serie A side Roma.
