Earlier today, we covered the quotes from Fluminense president Mario Bittencourt in which he explained the situation of Liverpool midfielder Allan.

After having the player on a loan spell, the Rio de Janeiro side have been trying to sign him permanently, but the competition has been disturbing negotiations.

Bittencourt has claimed Fluminense want to split the fee in several instalments, but Liverpool said there’s a club willing to pay in cash. And it seems UOL knows a little more about this bid.

According to the website today, it’s Atlético Mineiro who are offering the Reds an amount of €4m for Allan.

It’s claimed that Atlético’s board is pretty optimistic about the negotiations, and expect to announce the signing before Thursday, when the squad returns from vacation.

It’s claimed Fluminense are offering the same amount, and even though the player would like to continue at the club, the fact that they can only pay in several instalments leaves them behind in the race for the signing.
