Andreas Pereira has made three appearances for Manchester United since the restart and all three of them came from the bench.
The 24-year-old’s playing time has been restricted following the arrival of Bruno Fernandes and Paul Pogba’s return to full fitness.
On August 13th, Esporte Interativo reported the midfielder has decided to leave Old Trafford this summer, even though Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has asked him to stay at the club.
A day later, ESPN Brasil explained Valencia have emerged as a possible destination for the player.
Monday’s edition of AS has backed up the claims made in Brazil, as they state Pereira ‘returns to the orbit of Valencia’.
He spent the 2017/18 season on loan with the La Liga side, managing a goal and four assists in 23 league appearances. The player ‘contemplates’ changing clubs and a move to the Mestalla seems to be a ‘good option’.
AS explain Pereira has been ‘offered’ to Valencia and their president, Ani Murthy, likes the Belgium-born Brazil international.
It’s claimed that United have made the midfielder available in the market and Pereira would ‘welcome a possible return’ to Valencia this summer.
Pereira has a contract until 2023 and there’s no mention of the fee needed to take him away from United in this window.
