Fanatik report Trabzonspor will make their move for Leeds United forward Caleb Ekuban once they’ve settled unpaid wages with some of their players.

It’s reported the Ghana international is being monitoring by other clubs after impressing this season whilst on loan with the Super Lig club.

Subsequently Trabzonspor want to act quickly to secure his services and they will look to activate the right of redemption they have for the 25 year old.

The Turkish newspaper report Trabzonspor may not wait until the end of May to sign Ekuban and are ready to pay the €1m redemption fee.

Earlier this week we covered reports from Turkey that Trabzonspor value Ekuban in the region of €10m and could cash in on the Leeds United owned player this summer. Serie A sides are reportedly showing an interest in Ekuban.

Given their money issues, the prospect is obviously tempting.

Ekuban still has two years left on his current Leeds United contract but it seems the Ghanaian’s days with the Championship side are coming to an end.

The striker has played 28 games for Trabzonspor this season, scoring 7 goals.
