On Thursday, we covered a story from the Italian media pertaining to the future, or at least potential future, of Rui Patricio at AS Roma.

The Wolverhampton Wanderers appears to be the current favourite to replace Pau Lopez at AS Roma, with the Italian side keen to give José Mourinho the best tools possible to succeed in his soon-to-be new job.

With Jorge Mendes potentially helping out, the Wolves star was quickly included in the list of targets the Serie A side could go after, and he’s never left said list since.

Corriere dello Sport on Friday report that ‘enquiries’ have been made regarding the veteran goalkeeper, whom Calciomercato reckoned could go for as little as €8-10m due to his contract at the Molineux expiring in 2022.

That seemed a bit low considering his importance in Nuno Espirito Santo’s plans, but we all know Mendes can work his magic when needed.

After all, he did manage to bring Rui Patricio and his fellow Portuguese to a newly promoted Wolves side, so who’s to say he can’t move them again to please another of his clients?
