Tottenham Hotspur’s bid for FC Porto star Luis Diaz continues to be reported in Portugal.
Following the news brought by SIC Notícias and Record that an ‘official offer’ had been made, it’s now time for outlet A Bola to back-up that Spurs are trying to sign the winger in the last week of the transfer window.
The outlet is another one saying Tottenham are putting €45m on the table. Now unlike the other sources, they add something about the Dragons’ stance on this bid.
According to A Bola, Porto are ‘not willing to negotiate’ the player’s exit and will keep pointing to his release clause, which stands at €80m.
Their report highlights the importance Luis Diaz has for Porto’s squad, claiming manager Sérgio Conceição considers the winger to be ‘absolutely fundamental’ for their league campaign this season.
The Colombian has 16 goals and six assists for Porto this season, having scored twice against Milan in the Champions League, and now he’s currently on international duty in South America.
Whether the €80m-or-nothing stance is genuine, or if Porto would be shaken by an offer higher than what has already been mentioned, remains to be seen.
