Besiktas look set to reject a chance to take back Gokhan Tore in this transfer window, report FutbolArena. The West Ham United loanee will be out of action until at least March, but he recently made clear his wish for a return to Turkey.
Besiktas have just agreed a loan deal for Ersan Gulum with Hebei China Fortune, and they are also ready to confirm the re-signing of Demba Ba from Shangai Shenhua. Subsequently with these new arrivals Besiktas don’t need to bring Tore back from West Ham, despite his wishes.
The Turkish international spoke to BeyazTv saying: “I underwent surgery two months ago. I’m currently receiving heavy treatment on my leg. I’ll be 100% ready for the start of the next season.
“I’ll return to Besiktas at the end of the season unless something happens. Sometimes we’re receiving some transfer offers but I can confirm there’s absolutely nothing from Fenerbahce.”
Tore was signed for Besiktas for a fee around €4.5m by current West Ham manager Slaven Bilic. The Turkish international played a key part in Besiktas’ title winning season, scoring four and providing six assists.
The player was loaned to West Ham for a fee of around €3.5m, but it seems clear West Ham are not going to activate the redemption clause, which is believed to be around €10m.
