Red Bull Salzburg are ‘not averse’ to selling Mohamed Camara this summer should Everton make a firm bid for him.

That’s according to Salzburger Nachrichten, who cover a potential departure for the midfielder today.

Reports in England this week have linked Everton with a move for Camara, who they are reportedly eyeing as an alternative to Idrissa Gana Gueye.

The Blues have been keen on bringing the PSG man back to Goodison Park this summer but the move has been delayed, with the Senegal international reportedly hesitant about making the switch.

That’s led them to look at a move for Camara, although their interest has only been pushed by the English media at this point.

Indeed, in Austria, there has been an insistence that there is no bid as yet, even if Camara is pushing to leave the club.

Salzburger Nachrichten back that up, stating that the midfielder ‘wants to leave Salzburg at all costs’ and is showing ‘little ambition’ to play for the Bullen again.

While the British media are reporting talks with Everton, there is no mention of an official bid from the Toffees or confirmation of such.

The newspaper do, though, say that the Austrian side are ‘not averse’ to selling Camara this summer and the ‘required transfer fee’ would be ‘around €35m.’

Whether Everton are willing to pay that sum is ‘more than questionable’ given the state of their finances at present, but there is a deal there to be struck nonetheless.
