Turkish newspaper Posta claim Besiktas have moved ahead of Sheffield United to sign Tigres right back Luis Advincula this summer.

Sheffield United have recently been linked with Advincula as they look to bolster their squad for next season. The Blades were recently promoted to the Premier League after finishing second in the Championship.

Earlier this week we covered claims from Turkey that Besiktas have joined Sheffield United in the race to sign the Peru international, along with Norwich City.

However, Posta today claim the Istanbul club are now the favourites to sign the 29 year old and that the player is keen to on the move.

According to Turkish newspaper, Advincula enjoyed his time in Turkey with Bursaspor during the 2015/16 season and he wants to play in the Super Lig again.

Advincula spent last season on loan with Rayo Vallecano but after the Spanish side’s relegation from La Liga the player could move on.

It’s also been suggested he has no future with his parent club Tigres.
