Beşiktaş and Galatasaray both wanted to sign Tottenham Hotspur’s Sergio Reguilón in the winter market.

Last month, AS reported Spurs chairman Daniel Levy was reluctant to sanction the left-back’s sale despite his contract expiring in June.

The Istanbul clubs haven’t given up on the Tottenham player. That’s at least what Estadio Deportivo are reporting, and they state Beşiktaş are ‘most interested in seducing’ the 28-year-old.

His name is on also Galatasaray’s agenda for next season, and the Turkish champions can provide competition Ole Gunnar Solskjær’s side in the summer window. In addition to the two clubs, Real Sociedad could be an option from Spain for the fullback.

Tottenham wanted to get rid of the former Real Madrid man last summer, but he wasn’t able to find a new club. This hasn’t worked out for him, and he had to wait until December to make his first appearance of this season.

Reguilón has so far played five matches for Spurs and will leave them as a free agent at the end of this season. Estadio state this has been the ‘toughest’ season of his career and despite this, he continues to attract interest from elsewhere.

Beşiktaş, Galatasaray and Real Sociedad are the defender’s suitors. Reguilón has to make a decision on his next club as his future is certainly away from Tottenham.
