Emerson Palmieri is on the radar of Inter Milan, according to FcInterNews.

The Chelsea defender is managed by Elenko Sports and one of the agency’s representatives met with Nerazzurri officials in Milan a few weeks back.

Luciano Spalletti launched the Brazil-born Italy international at AS Roma and the player remains grateful to the coach, who has been fundamental to his development.

Spalletti’s future remains uncertain and there are talks about Antonio Conte replacing him at the club.

The former Juventus manager also values Emerson as he was in charge at Stamford Bridge when Chelsea signed him in January 2018.

Meanwhile, Maurizio Sarri’s plan is to retain the player as his side will return to the Champions League next season.

The English club’s manager is ‘pressing to convince’ the former Roma man not to leave the west London club because he does not want to lose ‘valuable players’.

Marcos Alonso is the first choice left-back at Chelsea and Emerson is his backup.

However, the Europa League finalists’ transfer ban means they will not be able to bring in a replacement if the 24-year-old decides to leave the club in the summer, which is why Sarri wants to retain him.

Inter are awaiting the ‘moves’ of Emerson.
