Genoa are thinking about reviving their interest in Rangers midfielder Ianis Hagi in the January transfer window.
That’s according to Tuttosport, relayed by Pianeta Genoa, who report that Hagi is back on the radar for the Italian club.
They report that Geno are ‘thinking about’ Hagi this month, reviving their previous interest after it appeared to have died down.
The Serie A side had been credited with an interest in taking Hagi out of Ibrox in the past but never made that anything concrete and he’s remained a part of Philippe Clement’s plans this season.
The 26-year-old has 12 appearances in all competitions for Rangers this season, but only totalling 906 minutes in total. Tuttosport, though, make no mention of whether they’d sanction an exit from Ibrox this month if Genoa step forwards.
It seems they’re yet to do so and are just thinking about reviving their interest in Hagi, who they believe is valued at €1.5m.
We’d suggest Rangers may want more than that if they are to sell given, they paid €3.5m for him in 2020, but that’s something to be worked out if or when Genoa turn their interest into something concrete.
