According to a claim in the Turkish media, Fenerbahce could be forced to sell Josef de Souza due to FFP implications.

The Brazilian has been linked with a move to Crystal Palace in recent days after claims the Premier League club have tabled a bid for the player.

Sabah have reported on the latest developments over the future of Souza and they claim he or Giuliano de Paula could be sold by Fenerbahce before the transfer window closes.

The Yellow Canaries have recently brought in Andre Ayew and Baris Alici, but that means they now need to sell if they want to recruit more players this summer, to comply with FFP.

Fenerbahce have been linked with the likes of Islam Slimani, Vincent Janssen and Divock Origi in recent weeks, but they need to raise revenue before they can bring in a centre forward, a priority for manager Philip Cocu.

Souza’s exit would also raise revenue for staff costs at the Turkish club.

The Turkish newspaper reiterate Crystal Palace’s interest in Souza, following claims of a €12m offer for the central midfielder.

Earlier today it was claimed the Istanbul club want €18m from Crystal Palace, but the Eagles are only prepared to increase their initial bid to €13m.
