Krasnodar will not allow midfielder Charles Kabore to leave for the Premier League after being linked with West Bromwich Albion and Crystal Palace.

Sportmail.ru. have reported despite the strong interest from Crystal Palace and West Brom, Krasnodar are determined to keep their prized asset because they want to qualify for the Champions League this season.

Krasnodar currently sit 4th in the Russian league, one point behind 2nd place Zenit and nine points behind leaders Lokomotiv Moscow.

The Russian Website claim a Krasnodar source has told them: “Yes there are interest from English teams for Kabore, but I can confirm that we don’t want to sell him right now. Not one person in our hierarchy wants to see him leave to the club.

“He’s a very important player for us and we want to keep our squad together.”

With the transfer window set to open next month it’s likely both Crystal Palace and West Brom will want to make additions to their squads. Both Premier League sides have changed their managers this season, so it’s likely Roy Hodgson and Alan Pardew will be looking to bring in their own players in January.

However, given these latest developments it seems West Brom and Crystal Palace will have to look elsewhere. The Krasnodar board want Kabore to stay for at least another 18 months years despite this recent interest in the 29 year old.
