Having won the Champions League, UEFA Super Cup and the FIFA Club World Cup in 2019, Liverpool are in a comfortable position to win the title in 2020 and are also in contention for the FA Cup.

Over the past couple of days, reports coming out of England suggested Virgil van Dijk could leave the Reds for Juventus in the summer.

Calciomercato have decided to take a look at these claims and present the Old Lady’s stance on these rumours.

According to the report, Juventus’ management appreciates the Netherlands international as he’s been hailed by others as one of the best defenders in the world at present.

However, that doesn’t mean there’s interest from the Serie A winners in the Anfield star.

Juve invested heavily in Matthijs de Ligt last summer and have no plans to bring in a new player in the same position. Their idea is to invest in other areas and therefore, a hefty figure of €140-150m will not be spent on Van Dijk.

In addition to this, Calciomercato also mentions Liverpool also have no intention of letting Van Dijk move.
