Fanatik report Besiktas are closing in on loaning Southampton winger Mohamed Elyounoussi and the Turkish club have made significant progress during transfer talks with the Premier League club.

Initial claims said Southampton are looking to get a €1.5m loan fee but Fanatik claim the Super Lig giants have managed to get them to drop the asking price to €500K and are now close to bringing in the player.

This week Elyounoussi also ‘set the fire’ by liking a ‘Come to Besiktas’ post on social media, and Fanatik believe the player is eager to play in front of the Black Eagles’ fans at the Vodafone Park.

According to the Turkish newspaper, there are only a couple of minor details left between Besiktas and the player, and the club’s board are also working to convince Southampton over a deal.

Fanatik claim if nothing extraordinary happens, Besiktas are likely to confirm his arrival this week. Given the arrivals this summer it seems unlikely the Norway international will get many chances should he stay at the English club.
