Torino will make a ‘new attempt’ for Leicester City midfielder Dennis Praet in January after failing to sign him again this summer.
That’s according to Calciomercato, who say the Italian side will renew their efforts to take the Belgian back to Italy.
Praet returned to Leicester in the summer following a loan deal with Torino last season, during which he established himself as a first-team regular for the Serie A side.
The consensus is that he is not a part of Brendan Rodgers’ plans moving forwards but despite efforts from Torino and several other Italian sides, no deal was found to move him on from the Kingpower.
He will therefore be a member of their squad until the January transfer window, at which point it seem Torino will try again.
CM report that they will make a ‘new attempt’ for the 28-year-old and plan to offer Leicester a loan with a right to buy included. The loan would presumably be until the end of the summer, although that is not explicitly mentioned.
Nor is the price of the redemption they plan to suggest, although that figure would be a reduced one as Praet would be entering the final year of his current deal at Leicester.
Indeed, the details are slightly vague at this point and it is a very short article from Calciomercato, so we’ll hold fire on getting too excited just yet as a result.
