At the start of the summer, when Tottenham Hotspur player Lucas Moura was linked with a move back to Brazil, we saw rumours being ruled out with the explanation that he was part of Antonio Conte’s plans for the season.
It turns out that with only 12 minutes played in the Premier League’s first four games, it’s becoming clear that he may not be much used by the Spurs boss. And that’s the perfect timing for interested clubs to make a move late in the window.
According to Turkish outlet Takvim, Galatasaray are working to sign Lucas. The report claims that the club already made contact both with him and Tottenham regarding a move.
It’s said an offer was already made for a loan with a right to buy, with the outlet pointing out he’s not in Conte’s plans for the season.
For now, there’s no information if Tottenham are keen to accept it, or even if the player is keen on the move. It’s also not revealed how much Galatasaray would like to pay as the buying option.
Lucas Moura has a contract with Tottenham until 2024, and is valued by Transfermarkt at €20m.
