Manchester City loanee Pedro Porro has agreed personal terms ahead of his permanent move to Sporting, according to reports from Portugal.
A Bola writes that the full-back is set to sign a deal with the Lions until 2025, having agreed to a salary of €800k per season.
It’s claimed that Sporting will trigger his buying option by June. That’s when they’ll pay Manchester City the €8.5m for the permanent transfer.
Porro had been loaned to the Lisbon side in June 2020, and even though the Lions will wait until the last month to use the clause, he has been impressing for a very long time.
A Bola adds that by finally agreeing the contract details, Sporting are now protected from the interest from Atletico Madrid and Real Madrid, as both La Liga giants have been following his performances in Portugal.
Now once Porro signs a new deal, he’s set to be protected by a €45m release clause, and it wouldn’t be a surprise to see him soon leaving the Lions for a lot more than what they’re going to be paying Manchester City.
