Fanatik report Trabzonspor are interested in signing Leicester City midfielder Nampalys Mendy, after making their first move to acquire the Frenchman.
Mendy will be out of contract at Leicester City at the end of the season, and the Turkish media are insistent that Trabzonspor could be his next destination.
It’s reported the Super Lig club are looking to replace John Obi Mikel, who left the club in March of this year after terminating his contract, with the former Nice midfielder.
Mendy joined Leicester in 2016 for €15m, after the Foxes sold N’Golo Kante to Chelsea. However, he’s failed to fill the void left by Kante, and was loaned out to Nice in 2017.
Under Brendan Rodgers he’s become a bit-part player for Leicester, making just six appearances for the club in all competitions this season.
Previous reports in the Turkish media were linking him with a move to Galatasaray, as it was reported his cousin and former Gala striker Bafetimbi Gomis could play a part in that transfer.
