When he was bought from Bayern Munich for €12m, Chris Richards probably thought he would play more at Crystal Palace than he has done.

The young centre-back has only featured 16 times for the Eagles since his arrival, and has spent the vast majority of this campaign on the bench.

His situation at Crystal Palace has caught the attention of a few clubs, including Feyenoord, who, according to 1908.nl, are considering a move for him in January.

The outlet explain there has been ‘some rapprochement’ from the Eredivisie with Richards’ entourage, likely to find out if he would be interested, but it ‘remains to be seen’ whether this will lead to anything more concrete.

Seeing as the 23-year-old still has three and a half years on his Crystal Palace contract, there is plenty of room to get him on loan ‘with a possible option to buy’.

They reckon the feasibility of the deal stands at 70%, but warn that Feyenoord aren’t the only interested club, as PSV Eindhoven are also lurking.

We will now have to wait for more information, but considering his use and need for minutes to develop, this could be an option that suits all parties.
